The Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to assist the underprivileged in our society. Since its establishment, the foundation has mainly served the underprivileged in the Jacksonville, Florida area, because its founder, Maurice Jones-Drew, plays football for the Jacksonville Jaguars and is very active in the local community.  The foundation stages a number of charity events that are designed to enrich the lives of the underprivileged.
In December 2015, the foundation gave away Madden video games to St. Peter Martyr Elementary School in Pittsburgh, CA.

The Maurice Jones-Drew After School Program in Jacksonville gives away $10,000 annually (book bags & supplies, etc.); had tutors come in and help kids with homework / laptops, computers, & equipment; gives kids haircuts (feel good, look good, etc.); and provides dental checkups and toothpaste/floss/toothbrush handouts.
On June 24, 2013, the Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation hosted its first Celebrity Golf Classic Tournament to raise funds for the establishing of an after-school tutoring and mentoring program to serve underprivileged children in the Jacksonville area. This after-school program assists children in improving their reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking skills. The program also motivates children to stay in school and to encourage and promote student success at all academic levels.
On May 16, 2013, the Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation donated $50,000 to Wolfson Children's Hospital to create two space-themed rooms for patients.  Read the article for more information on this great relationship between Maurice and the kids at the Wolfson Children's Hospital!
Starting in the 2007, the Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation began its Backpack Give Away Project and the Maurice Jones-Drew Football Camp. Through the Backpack Give Away Project, the foundation has assisted needy students in their scholastic endeavors by providing to them backpacks filled with school supplies. Through the football camps, in which both boys and girls (ages 8-15 years old), have participated, the foundation’s staff and volunteers have mentored underprivileged and at-risk youth, stimulating both the youth’s athletic and personal development. In these football camps, the youth learn and practice the fundamentals of football, and through the exercises, drills, lectures and other activities the students learn about self respect, respect for others, responsibility, accountability, persistence and teamwork.  Registration for this year's camp that is being held on June 22nd is currently closed due to the camp being full.
The Maurice Jones-Drew Foundation would like to thank our sponsors for partnering with us for our first Celebrity Golf Classic. We look forward to next year.
